Brick Laying Job Salary Sky Rocket in London

It is a common occurrence to see salaries in London sky rocket. Bankers, bonuses, lawyers and barristers are all professions that are expected to earn over £50,000 a year.
In recent years there has been a shortfall of dedicated and skilled construction workers and this had lead to some significant increases in salaries for workers in the industry. Brick layers, typically were paid around £30,000 per year depending on their business. Now in London we can see these salaries increased to near £80,000 a year and this is based on the 80/20 rule.
The need for real professional and qualified brick layers is only ever going to increase and if the supply of skilled works men aren’t in abundance, then the price that each brick layer can charge increases ten-fold. This has a substantial effect on the local industry and in particular for main contractors who bid on these particular large commercial projects that require brick layers.
